The Noopept Benefit

This is a cognitive and mood-boosting nutriment. It is considered to be 1000 times more powerful than Piracetam and still maintains minor side effects, if any side effect is felt at all. Noopept is not a drug, although it is prescribed as a mental boosting medication in Russia.

We can tell you that it was developed and patented in Russia at the end of the Cold War (1995) and is currently manufactured in both Russia and China. The vast majority of shipments will come from one of these two countries.

Noopept: What Does It Do and How to Take?

noopept what does it do

This nootropic is a powerful way to improve memory, learning capacity, focus, and concentration. In a healthy individual, it can start to work within 15 minutes. It is absorbed easily into the digestive tract, with a high bioavailability, and crosses the blood-brain barrier quickly.

Noopept works on the brain by binding with the Glutamatergic AMPA receptor sites, preventing the break down of the neurotransmitter glutamate. Glutamate is one of the most prevalent neurotransmitters in the brain and its lack is linked to brain fog and foul moods.

Because it is much stronger, the dose of Noopept you should take is much smaller than any other nootropic, between 10 to 20 mg up to three times daily. It is recommended the dosage should not exceed 40 mg in a 24-hour period.

It can be taken in several ways. Pill form is swallowed, powders are mixed with water or juice, and sublingual patches are placed under the tongue until they are dissolved. Depending on your level of sensitivity, effects could be seen for 4 hours or as long as all day. Generally, the effects last approximately 6 hours.

Noopept has very little to no smell and the slightly bitter to acrid taste. Most people do not find the taste appealing, but it is not so unpleasant that it would stop people from using this product. The benefits definitely outweigh the taste.

It is better to take many small doses of this nootropic rather than a large dose. The body metabolizes Noopept rapidly. Large doses are both a waste of money and potentially harmful. As you begin taking Noopept, we recommend starting off with the lowest possible dosage and gradually increasing it until you reach your optimum level. Then, be sure to monitor your dosage and either increase or decrease as necessary.

Many people describe what Noopept feels like is a return to what they should feel like. Many experience clarity of thought, pleasant happiness, and the drive to do more and do better.

Noopept stack

Noopept is the brand name for N-phenylacetyl-L-prolylglycine ethyl ester. Other ingredients are binders, flavorings, and stabilizers. Basically, Noopept is made from a chemically engineered molecule that works very well in the brain.

Noopept Dosage

Once you work up to it, take between 10 to 20 mg one to three times daily. But, we want to make sure that you are safe. So start off with the lowest possible dosage once per day. Once you know how it works with your body and if you experience any side effects, then you can increase the dosage. Be sure to do so gradually.

Each form of Noopept will tell you how to measure the appropriate dosage. Be sure to read your box carefully and follow the instructions. It will also tell you the best way to take Noopept as well as what to mix it with. Since each form of the supplement is slightly different, the instructions will also tell you when to take Noopept to get the most effective use out of it.

Those people find they take a minimal dosage three times a day around meal time. This is enough to give them good stamina and focus on the tasks they require.

Noopept side Effects

noopept side effects

For something so powerful, there are surprisingly few side effects. The majority of people reported experiencing nausea, anxiety, and shaking when taking Noopept at the top dosage or beyond. As far as our research can tell, there have been no fatalities or serious side effects with this product.

Noopept Reviews

Despite finding many websites that claim how powerful Noopept is, we haven’t been able to find any ‘how Noopept changed my life’ stories. It seems many people try the Noopept experience, but most of them do not feel there purchase radically changed their life. Of the reviews we found, they all agree that they felt more energy, concentration improvement, and clarity. We found no reviews that said it did not work or harmed the person.

What is Noopept used for?

what is noopept used for

Being one of the most powerful nootropics on the market, Noopept is used for many things. You can use it for studying, anxiety, ADHD issues, and many other things. It works wonderfully for these issues because it helps the brain function properly. Noopept is able to stimulate the dopaminergic (D2 and D3), cholinergic, nicotinic and serotoninergic receptors in the brain. It stimulates the expression of the hippocampus produced proteins: the neurotrophins NGF (nerve growth factor) and BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor). Having these work at optimal capacity really helps people to relax and achieve more without side effects.

Noopept has been used in a few trial programs with people with Alzheimer’s and other dementia issues. It has shown some benefit in some of the research, however, it is not conclusive enough to say if the supplement will help with dementia issues. We recommend talking to your doctor before trying the supplement to make sure it will not interact with any medication.

Depression is a tricky issue. Several people have used Noopept for depression and achieved success. There are many who haven’t. Since depression comes in many forms, the supplement may be able to alleviate some of the symptoms by providing the brain with the means to function normally. It can help by allowing a person to think clearly, have more energy, and more motivation.

Some off-label use for Noopept is for hangovers, alcohol withdrawal and for opiate withdrawal. The stimulation caused by Noopept has been shown in some studies to help alleviate the physical withdrawal symptoms. There are testimonials to show Noopept has helped people with stopping the abuse of drugs and alcohol. There are many more testimonials to show the supplement helps relieve the symptoms of hangovers. If you are addicted to alcohol or drugs please talk to your doctor. There are many programs with proven track records of helping with these addictions.

Noopept Comparisons

Noopept vs Modafinil/Adrafinil

noopept vs adrafinil

Modafinil is prescription medication designed to help focus and concentration. Unfortunately, many people experience side effects on this medication. We do not recommend combining Noopept with Modafinil without consulting a doctor. This prescription medication is also hard on the liver, which could result in any supplement, nootropic, or other prescription medication remaining in the bloodstream far longer than anticipated, which could lead to some serious side effects.

Noopept vs Aniracetam

noopept vs aniracetam

Working together, these two nootropics could have significant improvements in memory and mood. Aniracetam * works primarily on the various mood pathways within the body, while Noopept works better with improving memory and cognition. Together, these could help really focus your energies and help you through work that is an emotionally draining.

Noopept vs Adderall

noopept vs adderall

Adderall is a prescription medication. While many people have used Noopept for the treatment of ADHD, we do not recommend the use of Adderall and Noopept together. Please talk with your doctor before starting this supplement.

Noopept vs Piracetam

noopept vs piracetam

Rather than competition, these two nootropics work well together. Noopept works on the glutamate receptors, Piracetam works on the acetylcholine receptors. Taking both of these together could result in a significant improvement in cognition and memory.

Noopept vs Phenylpiracetam

Phenylpiracetam is a nootropic that is designed for a quick boost of energy and improved cognition. Unlike Noopept, it works immediately and people feel the effects fast. Despite the close ties with Piracetam, Phenylpiracetam should not be combined with Noopept.

Noopept vs Pramiracetam

noopept vs pramiracetam

These two supplements work very similarly to each other. But, if you are looking for cognitive enhancement without mood-altering effects, stick with Pramiracetam *. What most people like about Noopept is that it gives an overall improvement in mental functions, including memory, concentration, and moods. Noopept is also a bit slower than Pramiracetam.

Noopept vs Oxiracetam

noopept vs oxiracetam

The biggest difference between these nootropics is that Noopept focuses more on mental energy and improved mood while oxiracetam * focuses more on alertness and concentration, without mood alterations. Otherwise, these supplements are extremely similar in their effects and most people who have tried both don’t seem to notice a big difference.

Noopept vs Sunifiram

Both of these supplements working in exceptionally similar ways and produce exceptionally similar results. What most concerns us about the Sunifiram is that there is very little documentation that shows it works and it has a few side effects. In fact, several of the reviews we have found for Sunifiram have been negative. The reviews for Noopept are positive. At this time, we do not recommend taking Sunifiram until it is better studied.

Noopept vs Alpha Brain

noopept vs alpha brain

This is another combination we feel would be beneficial. Both of these supplements do similar actions in the brain but stimulate different parts of the brain. Noopept is a powerful nootropic, and Alpha Brain is more moderate. Because Alpha Brain works by supplying high amounts of choline to the brain, it can help reduce side effects from Noopept and help improve overall memory and cognition.

Noopept vs Optimind

noopept vs optimind

Of all the combinations we’ve mentioned so far, this is probably our favorite. OptiMind not only provides a tremendous amount of vitamins that help the brain function properly, but it also contained several herbal stimulants to help increase energy and improve your mood. When combined with Noopept, it can provide startling clarity and high amounts of energy.

    • Hey Alison!

We have 2 articles – one on Noopept here and one on Ciltep here that go into the details of each and potential interactions. Fortunately, as far as we can tell, you should not have any adverse reaction between the two supplements. Do not use nicotine or caffeine with these supplements, as Ciltep reacts poorly with them. Anyway, we recommend talking to your doctor before taking them and start off with low doses. All supplements react differently in individual people, and you don’t want to take a chance of being one of the odd cases of interaction.

  • I don’t feel any acute effects from Noopept, however, I started using it a year ago for depression, and I’ve not been depressed since. I only take it 2-3x a week. Noopept is said to be strongly neurogenic, and I can attest to this. I used tohave periods of depression every month or two due to chronic stress, and while the chronic stress is still there, the depression is gone.

You mentioned that there are different types of depression so it may or may not work for some people. If your depression is caused by stress and anxiety, but not necessarily due to emotional factors, then this could work for you! Chronic stress and anxiety can shrink the hippocampus, and neurogensis can counter this effect.

  • I just stumbled across this site researching Nootropics and it is the most informative site I have seen yet, thank you.
